The Volkswagen Group headquartered in Wolfsburg is one of the largest manufacturers of passenger cars and commercial vehicles worldwide, it is also the largest automobile producer in Europe. The city of Wolfsburg and the name of Ferdinand Porsche are inseparably linked with the company, initially beginning with production of the VW Beetle which proved a trend setter in the post war period through to the 1970’s expanding into where we are today with a highly successful and forward thinking company developing a new generation of vehicles powered by electricity that meet our ever increasing desire to improve the environment that we live and work in.

In 2009 mann-Objecta was entrusted with the interior planning of the Volkswagen German car dealerships. The design of the showrooms provides floor space of between 4000 -6000m2 and are designed to impress and reflect the size and quality of the group and their products to potential purchasers.

The two storey design with generously proportioned glazed offices on the upper floor add to the overall feeling of quality and space. The floor, walls and ceilings provide clean white and grey shades with specific wood surfaces accentuated in Havana Cherry to give a warm and comfortable finish. An impressive sized wall area is highlighted in VW blue above the reception and greeting area, emphasised by the Welcome to Volkswagen signage.

The design and planning of the furniture for the service reception and workstations for sales personnel by mann-Objecta meet the criteria of the company corporate identity, every element is thought out and optimised down to the last detail. Timeless and modern seating along with bespoke office furniture follow the corporate image, open recesses areas provide customer meeting and discussion points with coordinated furniture incorporating IT information terminals supported by a range of free standing and illuminated glass display elements that provide easy access to a wide range of information, samples and accessories.

The showroom planning concept provided by mann-Objecta is project related and provides the leading architects an important basis for sanitary, electrical and lighting planning for each respective location. This ensures the best possible outcome for every project.
