Geers
Geers is a service provider of hearing aid acoustics that has been in the market for over 60 years, in 2016 they became part of the Swiss Sonova Group, adding over 580 speciality stores in Germany to their portfolio.
The aim of the contract is to modernise and adapt the German Geers Stores to meet the current identity. Planning, project organisation, preparation of construction schedules as well as execution and coordination of all necessary construction services and trades are tasks for mann Objecta. In addition, the installation of the special Geers acoustic technology, supervision of construction work on the part of the landlord and the implementation of and compliance with building regulations are also part of the job. A time frame of two weeks is specified for each store conversion.
After completion of the project planning, each branch conversion begins with the dismantling of the existing fittings and the renovation of components worthy of preservation, dismantling of the old store front takes place at the same time. After completion of the interior gutting, plumbing, electrical and IT first fix installations plus drywall and ceiling construction work are carried out, following this sound insulation and fire protection measures, as well as installation work in the sanitary rooms, will also be carried out. The store ceilings will then be fitted with Odenwald grid boards or special perforated acoustic boards (Knauf Cleaneo). This will be followed by decorations including the application of special GEERS logo and photo wallpaper. At the same time, the second fix of the light, plumbing, electricity and IT elements will also be carried out. After the floor has been levelled, floor laying work will be carried out with the use of durable PVC laminate. The hearing studio cabins, on the other hand, are covered with carpet for acoustic reasons. The façade work also includes the installation of LED illuminated advertising and shop window design in CI-compliant optics.
Mann- Objecta assemble and place the professional furniture (consultation, cash desk, staff tables). Finally, functional hearing aid, hearing protection and accessory shelving is installed and the hearing studios are furnished.
The portfolio is rounded off by project documentation through to the acceptance of construction work.
